Please comment below if you will be bringing a guest to the event and remember to dress as appropriately as possible. Those arriving after the fifteen seats available have been accounted for will have to sit elsewhere in the Cream and Crepe Café. Therefore, early or punctual attendance is essential for this Milwaukee Lolita Society meeting.

After the luncheon at the Cream and Crepe Café, the Milwaukee Lolita Society will meet outside of the Cedar Creek Settlement for a "swap meet" and to take pictures. You are welcome to bring items, accessories, and clothing to trade and sell with other Milwaukee Lolita Society members. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact Gabriella Schwartz or Jeanette Helferich.

"This delightful restaurant has been featured in Midwest Living Magazine, Milwaukee Magazine and Wisconsin Trails. Step inside and you'll know why. The décor of this charming creperie, nestled on the main floor of the former Wittenberg Woolen Mill (circa 1864), is an appealing hideaway."

"Crepes are the real stars at this café and there are many selections, all of them named after quilt patterns."

"Enjoy a relaxing day in beautiful, historic Cedarburg with lunch or dinner at the Cream and Crepe Café inside Cedar Creek Settlement, a village of 25 shops, antique and specialty stores, artist's studios and Cedar Creek Winery."

After the "swap meet," or before the luncheon, Milwaukee Lolita Society members have the opportunity to explore the Cedar Creek Settlement outside of the Cream and Crepe Café. I (Ella) suggest visiting my favorite store in the Cedar Creek Settlement (called Dime a Dance).

*** Please understand that the Milwaukee Lolita Society is encouraging Milwaukee Lolita Society members to attend the First Annual Chicago Lolita Meet & Greet at Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, July 24th, 2010. The First Annual Chicago Lolita Meet & Greet takes place on a weekend that the Milwaukee Lolita Society would, under normal circumstances, have a meeting in Wisconsin. ***

If the Milwaukee Lolita Society Twitter account and LiveJournal account appeared inactive for a while, it is because I (Ella) was visiting Austin and San Antonio, Texas. On Sunday, July 11th, members of the Milwaukee Lolita Society enjoyed Bastille Days in Cathedral Square Park (think Jazz in the Park).

The title of the event was "♥ ♥ ♥ Who Needs Versailles...We Have Bastille Days!!! ♥ ♥ ♥." Jeanette commented in the event description, "Summer is here and we lolitas have to let loose a little and hit up a festival! Bastille Days definitely seems like a festival fit for the lolita aesthetic, and there's no cost for admission!"

The following four photographs were taken by someone using Cassandra's camera. Hopefully more photographs from this meeting will be posted on LiveJournal as they are shared by Milwaukee Lolita Society members on Facebook.

The following photographs were taken by Jennifer and Richard and were shared through the Milwaukee Lolita Society Facebook group album. Thank you again to everyone who attended the "Lolita Lunch" at the George Watts & Son Teashop on Saturday, June 26th.

Milwaukee Lolita Society - Lolitas at the Zoo!

Date: Saturday, June 12 - 11:00am-2:00pm
at the good ol' Milwaukee County Zoo!
10001 W. Bluemound Road
Milwaukee WI

(current approximate attendance: 12)

i recommend all attendees to park on side streets to avoid parking fees and meet outside of the walk-in entrance at 10:50am (we may be able to get in for free if the walk-in entrance is un-manned!!) also, i think it would be wonderful for everyone to purchase a ticket on the carousel and group together on horses for photos! that would be an absolutely spectacular sight!!

In case you have any special concerns or cannot make the event until later and need to call to find out where the group is at the time, you may call either Ella (414) 916-3552 or myself (414) 477-5515
♥ ♥ ♥ Can't wait to see everyone there! ♥ ♥ ♥
